She appears during the random event Hitch Lift 2, where Franklin Clinton or Trevor Philips can pick her up along North Calafia Way in Blaine County. During the drive home, Ursula reveals disturbing details about her traumatic childhood and hints at violent behavior, making her one of the most unsettling random characters in the game.
Ursula is portrayed as a mentally unstable woman who lives in isolation near the El Gordo Lighthouse in Blaine County. According to her dialogue, she suffered severe abuse during childhood at the hands of her mother, who allegedly locked her in a basement, shaved her head and forced her to dress like a boy.
Throughout her conversations with the protagonists, Ursula repeatedly hints that several people around her died under suspicious circumstances. She casually mentions that a gardener fell off a cliff and claims that another man choked to death on his own hand, strongly implying that she may have been responsible for their deaths.
Ursula first appears during the random event Hitch Lift 2. She can be found hitchhiking on North Calafia Way, south of Mount Chiliad, and asks to be driven back to her home on El Gordo Drive.
Franklin becomes increasingly uncomfortable during the ride and openly calls her crazy, while Trevor initially appears disturbed but gradually warms to her due to their similarly unstable personalities. If Trevor is the active protagonist, the player can alternatively deliver Ursula to the Altruist Cult and receive $1,000.
After being taken home safely, Ursula gives the protagonist her phone number and becomes available as a Booty Call contact. When contacted later, she waits near the marina in Sandy Shores before returning with the protagonist to her house in Blaine County.
After a meeting with Ursula, heavy rain begins and any vehicle parked outside her home is repaired. Ursula is one of the few optional relationship characters in GTA V who feels intentionally unsettling rather than romantic.
Ursula is socially awkward, emotionally unstable and heavily implied to be dangerous. Despite speaking calmly most of the time, many of her statements casually reference violence, death or disturbing childhood memories. Her isolated home, eerie dialogue and implied murders have made her one of GTA V’s creepiest random event characters.
Ursula can only be encountered by Franklin or Trevor. Michael cannot trigger her random event.
Her house appears to be inspired by the Bates house from the movie Psycho.
If the player already knows her phone number, it is possible to call Ursula even before completing her random event.
Ursula always carries her distinctive red backpack.
Her character model is not fully unique and is shared with several pedestrian NPCs, although her clothing is distinctive.
If Trevor sacrifices Ursula to the Altruist Cult, she is permanently removed from the game.
Trevor can pick up Ursula during Hitch Lift 2, take her home, call her later, or optionally deliver her to the Altruist Cult.
Franklin can pick up Ursula during Hitch Lift 2 and call her later as a Booty Call contact.
